A HOME LIKE SETTING
At Upper Chesapeake Hospice, professionals with special training and expertise serve both patients and their families with a coordinated program of palliative (comfort) care and support services, helping them through the myriad of issues associated with the end of life. A medically directed interdisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, nursing aides, social workers, chaplains and trained volunteers work together, providing specialized medical care, spiritual counseling, answers to patients’ and family members’ questions and accessibility to on-call services 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
